2020 Club Mixed Pairs Championship

If ever a championship should be shared - this one should be!

This  was a hard, tough game played under difficult conditions.  The game was interrupted due to lightning then completed 3 days later on a fast green so different from the first session.
Congratulations to all players involved.
This concludes our championship season for the year, and all players would like to thank the Match Committee and the Umpires for making our games possible and enjoyable.

Hat Trick for Hooper!

Darren Hooper 31 defeated Paul Charge 18 in the final of the 2020 Club Open Major Singles Championship. The third consecutive title for him and the second Runner Up title for Paul.
A large crowd witnessed a top quality exhibition of draw bowling from two great sports.
Congratulations to both bowlers and Good Luck to Darren at Zone level.

Bowls NSW

Breakers is an Open Club!

Steve English, John Luxford, Gary Wall, Julie Cox, Dale Kalms, Lesley Mason, Lee Oliver and Kevin Ivins.

The first Open Fours Championship match was played at Breakers today in true club sportsmanship and according to BNSW new gender neutral membership policy introduced on 1st October, 2019.  There were smiles all round (even from those who didn't win)  and great camaraderie from all participants.  As a club we should all be proud that we did this, humble because it took so long, and maybe a little surprised that the world didn't come to an end!

Thank you to all club members who have supported and encouraged our club to embrace a gender neutral, modern, and inclusive sport.
